Indulgently soft, Italian-sourced velvet with a deep, luxurious pile that's made to be admired.
At Tetrad, we take pride in sourcing many of our velvets from Italy, selecting those with high cotton or high viscose content for an elevated sense of luxury. These premium fibres, combined with a generous pile height, create a sumptuous thick texture with beautiful natural highlights.
As will all velvet, a distinctive crushed appearance is part of its charm and will naturally evolve over time. Higher piles can be more susceptible to marks or shading through everyday use, where certain areas map appear lighter or darker. A light brushing with an upholstery brush, following the direction of the pile, can help minimise pressure marks. Avoid firm or abrasive brushing as this may damage the fibres.
For a more durable alternative, Tetrad also offer 100% polyester velvets, designed for a robust, yet stylish finish
Available in a wide range of shades, from the elegant charm of a jewel-toned statement to a softer neutral. All our velvets evoke an inviting warmth and add a sophisticated depth to any room. For full colour options, view online through our sample requests or at your local stockist.

CARING FOR YOUR VELVET SOFA
Because of their texture, fabrics tend to harbor dust, especially within their horizontal surfaces. We recommend that you regularly vacuum using a soft upholstery nozzle or use a soft brush.
Fabrics with a pile such as velvet, chenille and velour may change appearance after use as they are prone to mark slightly under pressure as fibres move in different directions. By brushing the fabric regularly with a soft brush, it will help maintain the pile and keep it looking good for longer.
Velvets are prone to visual shade differences due to the pile being say in different directions, and depending on the light direction, velvets can look diffferent shades within the same piece of fabric. Every care is taken to ensure your velvet is cut from the same batch throughout your order for consistency, however, this cannot be guaranteed on subsequent orders.
