At Tetrad, every leather piece tells a story of skill, heritage, and individuality. Admired through the ages, the invitingly rich scent, immediate warmth, and distinguished look of a leather sofa can elevate any setting.

Our leathers are sourced from the finest Italian and South American hides, chosen for their supple feel, natural character, and ability to develop a distinctive patina over time. We retain the uncorrected, characterful complexion of each hide, allowing delicate variations in texture, grain, and colour to shine through — true marks of its natural origin.

The Natural Beauty of Leather

Leather is a natural byproduct and will often carry the individual character and markings from its past life. No two hides are the same; the shade, grain variation and natural markings are all unique to the hide which adds to its charm and beauty. These natural markings include characteristics such as creases, tick bites, veining, scars, tone and shade differences. If your piece contains these markings, they are not flaws, but natural characteristics of leather.

Your leather will stretch over time, relaxing with more give over time as your new piece of furniture settles in, this is completely normal and to be expected.

We use state-of-the-art scanners and cutters to ensure we match all hides as closely as possible. We guarantee to use the same batch throughout your order, however this cannot be guaranteed on subsequent orders.

In our Lancashire workshop, master craftsmen - trained for years in the art of leather - hand-antique each hide to create a one-of-a-kind finish. This meticulous process reveals a depth of tone and texture that cannot be replicated by machine, giving every sofa its own unique personality.

Each hide is carefully cut to showcase its most beautiful features, allowing the natural grain to take centre stage. Our breathable leathers adjust to a room's temperature, wearing in rather than wearing out and growing more beautiful with age for that authentic "faded glory" appeal.
