FSC & UKTR Timber Policy Statement 2025

Tetrad is committed to using sustainable raw materials. As part of this commitment, it has implemented a Chain of Custody procedure, to ensure compliance with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC V3.1) criteria and the requirements of the UK Timber Regulations (UKTR). The Company is committed to the Values of of FSC and it is the policy of Tetrad Ltd to avoid any involvement with:

a) Illegal logging or trade in illegal wood or forest products

b) Violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations

c) Destruction of high conservation values in Forestry operations

d) Significant conversions of forests to plantations or non-forest use

e) Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations

f) Violation of the ILO Core conventions, as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles & Rights at Work 1998

The Management Team will be responsible for implementing this policy. Through documented procedures, the Company is committed to ensuring that the chain of custody system is maintained. The Management Representative for the system has the day-to-day responsibility for compliance and for ensuring that certification of our chain of custody is maintained to the highest level. The Company is also committed to FSC occupational health and safety requirements, as detailed in our separate policy statement.

If it is demonstrated at any time, that the Company is unintentionally using wood from controversial sources, we will promptly take the appropriate actions, which will include ceasing purchases from such sources.

We will work closely with all of our suppliers to encourage ongoing use of certified timber so that our certified products can be sustained.

On some products lines where certified material under the FSC may as yet be unavailable, we will continue to seek alternative sources or work with the supplying company to implement their own chain of custody within given and agreed timescales.

The Company will work with its certification body to ensure that all criteria required by the FSC V3.1 are met and that any non-conformances are corrected without delay.

When importing timber materials, Tetrad Ltd is committed to fulfilling its obligations under the UK Timber Regulations (UKTR).

When exporting to the EU, Tetrad Ltd will also comply with the EUTR.
